Gar Woods Grill and Pier is one of the few North Lake Tahoe water front wedding venues and in fact one of the very few lake front wedding and event centers in all of Tahoe. Gar Woods is a premier waterfront restaurant and event center is located on the forest lined shoreline of Carnelian Bay California. Gar Woods as been a staple location in North Lake Tahoe for dinning and relaxing with a drink in hand since 1988.
The ceremony location at Gar Woods Grill and Pier is located at the end of the property on a giant grassy green lawn at the edge of the lake shore. This ceremony site has the most amazing and breathtaking postcard views of Lake Tahoe. This ceremony location is one of the main reasons so many newly weds book Gar Woods as their wedding venue. As you walk down the aisle to start your ceremony you’ll be greeted by the smiling faces of your guest and the most stunning view of Tahoe. The beach front ceremony location and can host up to 160 seated guest to watch the two of you exchange wedding vows.
Receptions, meals and wedding festivities will take place on the second story of Gar Woods. The second story is where all private events and wedding receptions take place at. The second story is divided into two huge rooms that are partially divided by glass walls. For bigger receptions guest will be seated in both rooms and the center area will be used as your dance floor. Small receptions will be able to host all your guest in larger room and your dancing will take place in the smaller upstairs room. There are many ways to design and setup your reception area in this massive space. One side of the whole second story of Gar Woods is floor to ceiling glass windows so that you’re able to enjoy the lake views of Tahoe during your meal, events and wedding party. There is also a small outside deck that runs the length of the second story so guest are able to enjoy the lake views and get some fresh air during cocktail hour and your reception party. This reception area is one of the few events venues in Tahoe that is located on the waters edge and has these breath taking views of the lake.
